Due to high demand, University of Canberra Village has introduced dual occupancy rooms in 86 of the new five bedroom apartments. Now you can enjoy a modern five bedroom apartment for an incredibly affordable price!
Why?
Demand for accommodation at the University of Canberra is extremely high. Adding the new beds has allowed us to cater for students that would have originally missed out on a place. This also means that we can offer even more choice for our residents!
How will apartments be affected?
The change will only affect some 5 bedroom apartments in the new development. These apartments will have one bedroom converted into a dual occupancy room by replacing the single bed with a bunk bed.
By applying to reside in a 5 bedroom apartment in the New Apartments you acknowledge and accept that the number of residents in your apartment may be six (6), with one of the rooms in the apartment being occupied on a dual occupancy basis.
How much will the dual occupancy apartments cost?
These rooms are very well priced for all occupants. Check out the new fees.
As an added bonus, all single occupancy residents in apartments with dual occupancy rooms will be given a $6 discount on their weekly residential fee. This is a saving of $270 on a 45-week contract!
Can I share my room with a friend?
If you would like to share with a friend, please specify this on your application form. Given our high demand, we can't guarantee to fulfill all requests, but we'll definitely try our best to accommodate you.
The earlier you and your friend apply, the easier it is for us to assign you to the same bedroom.
